Dear Parents,

As we have new pupils, it’s worth going back on our codes of practice:

Dress Code
Uniform must be worn by all pupils who have completed a full term. The uniform is available from us. Shoes from Premier Dancewear, Station Road, Birchington – say you are from Reach and you will be entitled to a discount. No jewellery should be worn. If your child arrives wearing jewellery she will be asked to remove it. No responsibility can be taken by any members of staff for it’s safe-keeping. Hair should be worn in a bun for ballet.

Tap
Black socks, black leggings or jazz trousers, black tap shoes, Reach t-shirt / sweatshirt or leotard.

Ballet 
Primary: ballet tights or white / pink dance socks. Lilac skirt /leotard. Crossover in winter.
Grade 1: ballet tights, Sky blue leotard with wrap-over skirt, elastic belt, Crossover in winter.
Grade 2 upwards: ballet tights. navy leotard with wrap-over skirt, elastic belt

Modern
Black leggings or jazz trousers, black socks, black jazz shoes (not heavy trainers), Reach t-shirt / sweatshirt or leotard.

Drama & Singing
Reach t-shirt or sweatshirt, black trousers (no skirts or dresses)


STAFF
We are delighted to welcome on board Angela Childs, who is working in the Reach office. She will be on hand on Saturday mornings in the basement kitchen of the Methodist Church to deal with all matters concerning payment. Please pay fees directly to Angela (leaving the teachers more time to teach). Please put cash in envelopes and remember to return the tear off slip from the invoice. A receipt will be given. Please make payments within 2 weeks of receiving the invoice.

Welcome back to Laura Yates on Thursdays after the birth of Isabelle. Laura will also be teaching on Mondays at our new branch in Teynham.

Melody Montana (Mini Reach) will soon be leaving us for maternity leave (what are they putting in the water?!)

Welcome to Mel who teaches ballet on Saturday mornings and to Omar who is teaching Hip Hop on Saturday afternoons.



Child Safety
Staff at Reach are CRB checked. It may be necessary for members of staff to touch children to correct positions etc.

Trinity Drama and Speech exams
Will take place on May 15th at Subud House, Century Road, off Whitstable Road, Faversham. Times and fees will be notified to parents individually.

I.S.T.D. Dance exams
Will take place on May 29th at Wingham Village Hall, School Lane, Wingham. You will be notified soon with details of times and fees.
There will be extra classes for the pupils on Wednesday 20th April at the Air Scout Hut, Prospect Road, Birchington. Times t.b.a. There will be a charge of £5 for this class, payable in advance.

Summer Course
Will take place this year at Wingham Village hall from 1st to 5th August. This year’s theme will include songs and scenes from The Lion King. The cost will be £75.
It will be for ages 6 to teenage and will run from 10.00 until 4.00 from Monday to Friday There will be a show on stage for family and friends on Friday August 5th at 5.00 p.m. Please book a.s.a.p. as places will be limited. Forms available from Rosita.

Leavers
Please note that if you child decides to leave, fees are not refundable and are payable to the end of the current term
